Free Event of The Week: Waller Gallery's Dispersive Archives
The word "archives" conjures up a dusty collection of file folders. But current technology has enabled dazzling experiences of sound and vision. That's what you can see at Dispersive Archives, the powerful show (that includes a lot of footage of Baltimore) currently running at the Waller Gallery. It "features the work of artist Lawrence Burney, scholar Joy Davis, and archivist Jessica Douglas. All three people work with archives in multiple visual and audible mediums to express intangible artifacts of their past." In addition to the free exhibition hours of noon-5pm, Thursday through Saturday, there are connected events that do have small admission costs. For more information, contact WALLER GALLERY, 2420 North Calvert Street.
